www.coolmath4kids.com is an American website which offers games and activities. www.mathsisfun.com also offers fun activities for this age group.

Secondary School Resources

www.mathcentre.ac.uk/staff.php based at Loughborough, has downloadable revision booklets, leaflets and resources packs intended to smooth the transition from school-level to university-level mathematics.

www.bp.com/bpes/tradinggame offers an enterprise trading game, suitable for S3-S6, in which students work together in teams which compete to trade oil. The necessary resources, including videos, news slides, trade calculator spreadsheet, teacher's notes and trader pack, can be downloaded or ordered (free).

http://plus.maths.org/ is a magazine about maths and its applications, designed for older students. This includes an excellent teaching resource called 'On Thin Ice-Maths and Climate Change in the Arctic' (http://plus.maths.org/issue51/package/index.html?nl=0) - toolkits on navigation, climate change and statistics are available for download.
