GREENPOWER AT GOODWOOD 2008
The top three Greenpower teams from Scotland travelled south to take part in the National Finals of the Greenpower Challenge at Goodwood – Alford Academy, Banff Academy and Bankhead Academy. Although none of the teams won any of the major prizes, they all did exceptionally well – they were up against quite stiff competition from all over the UK.
The Alford team started off in 71st position in the race but increased their position to 59th at the end of the race, completing 64.8 miles.
The Bankhead team increased their position by 22 places! They started off in 73rd place but after completing 74.4 miles were in 51st position, ahead of Alford!
The Banff Academy team started off well but experienced a few technical problems during the session. However, they completed a good 43.20 miles from 70th to 72nd, completing 43.20 miles
