Wizz-bang! Call for Presenters
WIZZ-BANG aims to:
inspire and retain interest in science and technology subjects with young people
provide an exciting and creative context to showcase the science and technology industry
work to address the current shortfall in numbers of young people choosing to study science, technology and engineering at 16 and beyond
provide valuable support to teachers in the delivery of science and technology in the classroom
work with other STEM initiatives (national and regional) to provide a coherent package of resource for schools
reach a target audience of 80,000 at live shows and many hundreds of thousands more through DVDs, Live broadcasts and Web links
provide development opportunities for young scientists and engineers to act as positive role models for young people
Wizz-bang are now seeking to identify four presenters for the 2008 Shows. Both pairs of presenters (One male and one female) will be required at every venue. The presentation will be scripted and rehearsed, and will involve a mixture of talk, video and graphic support, demonstration and will include audience participation.
