Ellon Academy Win Schlumberger Schools Engineering Challenge 2008
Ellon Academy have emerged as the winners of the Schlumberger Schools Engineering Challenge 2008 at the grand final competition held today at Banff and Buchan College.
This unique competition, sponsored by Schlumberger, has this year engaged with a record number of participants, with over 1000 S2 pupils taking part from 5 schools in North East Aberdeenshire (Banff, Turriff, Meldrum, Mintlaw and Ellon Academies).
Each of the pupils taking battled to complete 6 practical and offshore related engineering tasks within a set time. The final results were:
