Science at the Square

On Saturday the 13th March shoppers at Aberdeen's Union Square got the chance to participate in a fantastic range of hands of scientific activities as part of National Science and Engineering Week.

"Science at the Square" gave members of the public the opportunity to build an air powered racer, solve maths puzzles, create models with Kid K'nex, witness exciting Van de Graff demonstrations and discover the food web with our brand new ecology game.

There was also the chance to meet University of Aberdeen's Science Busking researchers who were wowing the public with their scientific tricks throughout the day.

With over 500 visitors this day of discovery proved to be a great success!

"Great to see an event like this in a shopping centre"

"My sons loved it and were kept thoroughly amused"

"Good events designed to capture children's imagination"

"Keep Kids minds active and interested in Science"
