Royal Institution of Great Britain - For over 200 years, the Ri has been 'diffusing science for the common purposes of life'. The Ri is a home for everyone interested in science, irrespective of whether they have a scientific background or not. Royal Institution Mathemtics Masterclass Series were launched in January 1981, the Secondary Mathematics Masterclasses form a UK-wide network of around 60 series of classes aimed at 12 to 14 year olds. They are organised regionally, by local groups, based at universities, schools or LEAs.
