Science Festivals in Tayside

TechFest-SetPoint is proud to organise and offer a range of activities to primary schools throughout Tayside in the form of mini annual science festivals. At this point in time there are three main festivals: March into Science (P7 - Angus - March), Science in September (P5&6 - Dundee - September) and Spring into Science (P2&3 - Dundee - Springtime), which are all held over the period of one week, during term time, and during school hours. Each festival is sponsored by the relevant local authority - Angus Council’s Education and Development Department sponsor March into Science and Dundee City Council’s Education and Development Department sponsor both Science in September and Spring into Science.

These festivals are used as a resource by teachers and they are designed to enhance the curriculum, as well as inspiring and motivating the intended audience about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. All presentations are free to participating schools; the only cost is your travel to and from the venue. All presentations are held within schools, therefore there is an added benefit to the host school.....no travel costs!
