Cosmic Dome
Welcome to the Cosmic Dome a mobile planetarium that has the accuracy of a full size Planetarium and offers schools, colleges, family events and science festivals a fascinating, fun and invaluable insight into the world of Astronomy.
In the last five years the Cosmic Dome has presented in hundreds of venues across Scotland to over 20,000 children and adults.
Our Cosmic Dome presentations, all carried out by a fully trained Astronomy presenter, are a combination of curriculum related material plus the latest astronomical discoveries all under an exact representation of the night sky with some fascinating fun thrown in.
Setting Up.
The only requirement for the Cosmic Dome is a hall or room that has a flat surface of not less than 6m x 6m and a height of not less than 3.5m with a standard power supply nearby.The Cosmic Dome is delivered straight to your door. All we ask is that there is one able-bodied person to assist us on arrival
The Dome
The Cosmic Dome is made from a reinforced flame retardant material and can be inflated within 35 minutes from start to finish.Entry is via a large walk through side zip.The Dome is wheelchair accessible and allows for easy emergency exit.
In addition to TechFest-SetPoint's Primary Outreach Programme the Cosmic Dome can attend evening and weekend activities, such as camps and fairs.
Prices
The Cosmic Dome can visit your school, community centre, science festival, private/corporate event for a morning, an afternoon, all day or evenings ( a minimum 2 presentations ).
Each presentation lasts approx 45 minutes at a cost of £ 60 plus VAT per presentation.
