Science Clubs
In association with the Children's University of Aberdeen, TechFest-SetPoint organises a number of after school clubs.
For P6 pupils, the Young Investigators' Clubs give the opportunity to interact with presenters from a wide variety of subject areas. The clubs were held for pupils in the Northfield and Torry areas. Presentations from the RSPB, Mr Bug, the University of Aberdeen, the Cosmic Dome and others were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
P7 pupils are given the opportunity to build a kit car with the help of some real life engineers! Over a 6 week period the pupils build a working car, from the assembly of the chassis to wiring the motor to the battery. The final is held at the Grampian Transport Museum, Alford, where the pupils get to race their vehicle, competing against two other schools.
